Climate?
Caniapiscau National Park lies in the climate region of Taiga (also knows as the Boreal climate region). Known for its long cold winters which excel -25 degrees Celsius and its short cool summers which come near 12 degrees Celsius. The precipitation varies in between 300mm-900mm per day. Respective to the area. The climate factors in the national park would be the cold arctic airs and increase/decrease in elevation. Expect the weather to be chilly when you arrive, pack according to the time of year you would like to visit us.
In case of any emergency the Information/Visitors center will always have rentals for any equipment and/or clothing you may need. Vehicles are also available for rent, they will come equipped with winter tires for any icy terrains, and a survivors kit, they are also built in with a GPS in case of emergency.
