Caniapiscau National Park is a beautiful park located right around the Reservoir De Caniapiscau which serves as a great feature to the park adding many wonderful activities and is also the largest body of water in Quebec. Caniapscau National Park, is named after the Reservoir De Caniapiscau. Activities and other information is listed in the "Park Map" and "Main Characteristics" tabs. The park is southwest of a town named Schefferville which is in northern Quebec. The Caniapiscau National Park is accessible by bush plane and, since 1981, by a gravel road from James Bay (the Trans-Taiga Road). Caniapiscau National Park is located at the end of the Trans-Taiga Road, at km 666. We are 745 km from the nearest town of Radisson. An easier alternative is to fly in to the Caniapiscau Airport. The coordinates of the airport are N54°50.27' / W 69°53.57'
